Working with people living with HIV as Peer Research Associates benefits the research teams, the process and the research evidence. But engaging people living with HIV as researchers also comes with the great responsibility of supporting PRAs in specific ways.
This one-day educational and KTE workshop will:
Facilitated by experienced academics, service providers and PRAs, the workshop will provide a broad overview of how, why and when PRAs must be supported in four areas: administrative, financial, emotional and educational.
We have designed this workshop for all research stakeholders; peer researchers and emerging academic researchers will benefit the most. Only those working in HIV and/or HIV/HCV research are eligible. All travel and accommodation expenses are covered as well as registration and a two-night hotel stay to attend the OHTN's conference Endgame: Stopping the Syndemics that drive HIV.
